We wish the Smurfs a happy birthday and are looking forward to many more years with great events!
When the Belgian designer Peyo created the comic figures "The Smurfs" (originally called "Les Schtroumpfs" in the Belgian original) for the series "Johann and Pfiffikus" of the magazine Spirou in 1958, he probably had not expected such a huge success for the little blue comic figures.
60 years later, there are now 16 albums with audio short stories, TV series, movies and more.
It was 1985 when Barbara and Stephanie Terbrüggen, went to witch school and learned from Gargamel how to bring the Smurfs alive in their Walk Act Factory.
With "Clumsy & Smurfette", the two sisters have created two Walk Acts, which have provided great, enchanting moments at many festivals and other events ever since.
We are sure that the Smurfs will continue to thrive in the future, enchanting and captivating the audience. Happy 60th Birthday!
